1 Nephi 2 1-4.

1 For behold, it came to pass that the Lord spake...and said...Blessed art thou...because of the things which thou hast done; and because thou hast been faithful and declared unto this people the things which I commanded thee...

2 And it came to pass that the Lord commanded..."me to"...depart...

3 And it came to pass that... "I"... was obedient unto the word of the Lord, wherefore... "I"... did as the Lord commanded...

4 And it came to pass that..."I"...departed... And..."i"... left..."my"...house, and the land of..."my"...inheritance, and..."my"... gold, and..."my"...silver, and..."my"... precious things, and took nothing with..."me"...save it were...provisions...and..."I"...departed.
